Young Stella is in fact a Shire Horse, the largest native breed in England.
Shire Horses were traditionally used by farmers and breweries to pull carts and other heavy equipment.
Their coats can be black, brown, bay or grey and are distinguished by their broad head and neck and long, silky hair on their lower legs.
Stella will grow to be between 16.2 and 18 hands high and weigh in at between 1,000 - 1,200 kg, that's 2,200 - 2,640 lb. |
